During the meeting at the Élysée Palace, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented French President Emmanuel Macron with the first copy of the novel "The Man Who Laughs," translated into Uzbek by the great French writer Victor Hugo.

This book is expected to be released into mass circulation and will soon be presented to readers.

Macron presented Shavkat Mirziyoyev with a photograph "The Gates of Amir Timur," taken in Jizzakh in the 19th century by French photographer Paul Nadar.
