The official explained that artists and singers will be given the opportunity to voluntarily declare their income for 2025-2026. However, starting from 2027, tax audits will be conducted against those who do not fully disclose their income or evade taxes.
"Many artists do not comply with income declaration requirements, which leads to under-receipt of taxes to the budget"
noted Mirzaev.
Currently, the Tax Committee is developing a special project to combat the shadow economy in the field of art. The new measures are aimed at ensuring the full and timely payment of taxes by all representatives of creative professions.
Recall that previously, legislative norms were introduced in Uzbekistan obligating artists to indicate the degree of phonogram use in posters and announcements of concerts. Now, before performing, performers must inform the audience whether their performance will be entirely live, partially using phonograms, or performed under a ready-made recording. These measures are aimed at ensuring the transparency of concert events.
