This year, the award has gained international status: architects and designers from Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and Georgia are allowed to participate. Winners will be determined in six categories across 27 nominations, Afisha.uz reports.
The jury includes well-known architects and representatives of international specialized publications. In particular, the work of the participants in the "Architectural Material in the Media" nomination will be evaluated by Dezeen magazine editor Tom Ravenscroft, the AOR 2023 "Editor of the Year" title holder. Under his leadership, Dezeen was twice recognized as the best publication in the PPA, AOR, and IBR awards.
The coordinator of the Me'mor Award//2025 is Takhmina Turdialieva — Chairperson of the Association of Young Architects of Uzbekistan, founder of the architectural studio Tata LAB. She is also the only Uzbek architect included in the British Royal Institute of Architects' RIBA Book: 100 Women Architects in Practice. Her portfolio includes private architectural projects in China, Italy, and Uzbekistan.
