The prestigious award is awarded for research, innovation, and contributions to policy aimed at the ethical development of AI.

The prize is awarded every two years. Three laureates will receive $30 thousand each, a "Beruniy" medal, and a UNESCO official certificate.

The award ceremony will be held in Samarkand within the framework of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference.

Applications are accepted until June 30, 2025. To participate, you need to download the application form and send it to the email address: beruniy.prize@unesco.org.

However, it cannot be submitted on its own. UNESCO considers applications from NGOs, national commissions of countries, universities, as well as scientific associations.
