This was reported by the Muslim Board of the republic, citing the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Center will study the works of Bahauddin Naqshband - the founder of the Naqshbandi order, as well as the legacy of other scholars of this Sufi order. The institution's tasks include conducting scientific and cultural events, as well as studying the history of Sufism.
Bahouddin Naqshband was born in 1318 near Bukhara. His teachings were based on spiritual self-improvement, simplicity, and rejection of luxury. One of the key elements of the practice was the 11 rules of meditation, or mushahid.
Naqshband died in 1389. In his honor, a mausoleum was erected, which became a pilgrimage site for Muslims from all over the world.
