Hakimov was one of the leading specialists in the field of history, archaeology, and architecture. He participated in the discovery of dozens of ancient oases and settlements in the territory of Northern Afghanistan, authored more than 50 scientific works, including monographs, articles, and methodological manuals.
For many years, he led the scientific-practical and educational journal "Moziydan Sado," which became an important platform for discussing issues of preserving cultural heritage.
Hakimov actively participated in major cultural projects of the republic, was a recognized expert, and enjoyed great respect among archaeologists, art scholars, and the wider scientific community of Uzbekistan.
