The center will focus on studying the heritage of Bahouddin Naqshband and Naqshbandi scholars. Its tasks will include conducting scientific and cultural events, as well as researching the history of Sufism.
Bahouddin Naqshband, born in 1318 near Bukhara, is considered the founder of the Naqshbandi Sufi order. The basis of his teachings was spiritual self-improvement, modesty, and refusal of excess. He also formulated 11 principles of meditation (mushahid) that formed the basis of the order's spiritual practice.
After his death in 1389, a mausoleum was erected in his honor, which became a sacred pilgrimage site for Muslims.
