The restoration of the shrine was carried out with the support of the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) and under the scientific guidance of the University of Chicago. During the work, specialists restored decorative elements, columns, mosaics, and calligraphic inscriptions. Both local and international experts participated in the project.
The opening ceremony was attended by Director of the Cultural Heritage Agency Bahodir Abdikarimov, US Ambassador to Uzbekistan Jonathan Henick, as well as local community representatives and foreign partners.
