In the first year, the school launches five proprietary programs, prepared in collaboration with experts from the United Kingdom. The training started in Tashkent, and the next stage will be Samarkand: participants will go to study the ornamentation and architecture of the 15th-century Ulugbek Madrasah — a real gem of the Timurid era.
The school is located in the Center of Islamic Civilization, where young masters and artists can study Uzbek ornaments, metal, wood, ceramics, miniatures, and other directions, absorbing the experience of generations.
The initiator of the project was the Uzbekistan Culture and Arts Development Foundation (ACDF) in partnership with The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts — an international school of traditional arts, established at the initiative of King Charles III of the United Kingdom for the preservation of the world's craft traditions.
