The festival serves as a key platform for young filmmakers from the CIS countries, the Baltics, and Georgia, fostering the development of cultural ties. This year, over 900 applications were submitted for participation in the festival, highlighting the growing international interest in the event. The competition program featured 14 films from the international competition. The works were evaluated by a jury consisting of representatives from the film industries of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Russia.
Earlier, the film "Yusuf, Son of the Sun" was accepted into the International Inclusive Film Festival "ENTRE DEUX CANNES" as part of the Cannes International Film Festival in France. The film "Yusuf, Son of the Sun," directed by Dilshod Usmanov and Sukhrob Kadirov, was produced by the Yoshlik film studio on commission from the Agency of Cinematography. It focuses on portraying the lives of people with disabilities through cinema, changing society's attitude toward them, and discussing social issues via filmmaking.
The award for Best Film went to the Georgian movie "Filled Emptiness," the award for Best Direction went to the Azerbaijani film "With Love from Orion," and the Special Jury Prize was awarded to the Tajik filmmakers' movie "Lukhtak."
The "Audience Award" went to the film "Balyk" by a Kyrgyz director. Special jury diplomas were awarded to "Beautiful" by a Kazakh director and "Yusuf, Son of the Sun" by an Uzbek director.
