David Lynch's personal belongings are being put up for auction: we'll tell you what's interesting about them

Julien's Auctions and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) announced the sale of The David Lynch Collection - a collection of over 450 items: vinyl, books, scripts, paintings, musical instruments, and rare items from filming. Among other things are his tools and accessories from the workshop.

"For Julien's and TCM, it is a great honor to present to the public for the first time this incredible collection of one of the greatest and most respected directors of all time - David Lynch," said Catherine Williamson, Managing Director of Entertainment Projects at Julien's Auctions.

The full collection can be viewed on the auction website, and here are some interesting lots:

• David Lynch's Director's ChairA chair with his name embroidered in gold on the back. Current rate: $7,000.

• Moviola editing table from the "Dune" office Original Moviola Midget device for viewing 35mm film during editing. Current rate: $1,250.

• Black Lodge style curtain and carpet from "Twin Peaks" Want to set up Black Vigwam at your home? Current rate: $1,750.

• The "Twin Peaks" handheld map will help you find your way to "a place that is both wonderful and strange." Drawn and signed by Lynch himself. Estimated cost: $40,000 to $60,000.

• "Malhalland Drive" Scripts Three original screenplays of a cult neo-noir. Current rate: $2,250.
