This is the week to listen to Einaudi by candlelight on the water, discuss the finale of Onegin, discover why Tamerlane's grandson traded warfare for the stars, and catch the young artists' exhibition before it closes. The week opens with several compelling reasons to get out and about: a visit to the Ikuo Hirayama Caravanserai, where two exhibitions are running simultaneously, including the opening of a Jordanian photographer's show about Uzbekistan. The State History Museum, following its reconstruction, is welcoming all visitors free of charge for three days. Saturday brings three concerts in a single evening: Einaudi in Turkistan, a candlelit string orchestra in an eco-park, and an electronic night featuring live collaborations at Bahor. On Sunday, Kandinsky Art Club hosts an art brunch dedicated to Matisse, alongside a networking breakfast with a card game centred on Impressionism. Monday offers cinema in a café, while Wednesday brings a children's fairy tale with a laser show in Samarkand. Well then — are you feeling the anticipation already?
