OPEN CALL: Art Residency ORALIK / SPACE
An open call for artists from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, who wish to explore the theme of ORALIK / SPACE in new ways — as geography, identity, inner landscapes, and areas of cultural intersection in the region.
Theme 2025–2026: ORALIK / SPACE
Space as: — geography and boundaries — cultural and social context — personal experiences and inner worlds — digital environment and virtual spaces
Who can apply
• artists, visual and interdisciplinary authors
• age — up to 40 years
• countries — Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan
The project brings together several formats and platforms at once:
- an art residency in the mountains of Iskanderkul (Tajikistan)
- educational program and online platform
- publication of more than 30 portfolios of young artists
- the final exhibition in Dushanbe
What the program includes
• week-long art residency in Iskanderkul (March 2026)
• online lectures, workshops, and meetings with curators
• two offline workshops
• launch of an online platform with the publication of selected portfolios
• final exhibition in Dushanbe
How to apply
It is necessary to send:
• portfolio (up to 10 works)
• CV / resume
• description of the project you plan to develop during the residency
• contacts.
