“George Enescu in France” Photo Exhibition Opens in Tashkent
A photo exhibition George Enescu in France opens today at 17:00 at the gallery of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent. The exhibition is dedicated to the life and artistic legacy of one of Romania’s most prominent 20th-century composers, best known for his Romanian Rhapsodies.

The project is organised by the Embassy of Romania in Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Academy of Arts, with the participation of the Alliance Française in Tashkent. The exhibition features photographs capturing key moments of George Enescu’s life in France, where he lived and created a significant part of his work.
As noted by Romania’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Daniel Cristian Ciobanu, the opening of the exhibition symbolises the friendship between Romania and Uzbekistan and the strengthening of cultural ties between the two countries.
The event is held as part of the Francophonie celebrations in Uzbekistan. The exhibition will run until 8 April and is open daily from 17:00 to 18:00. Admission is free.
