The guests familiarized themselves with the activities of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Uzbekistan, the Committee for Religious Affairs, the Center for Islamic Civilization, and the International Academy of Islamic Studies. The parliamentarians visited pilgrimage sites, including those in the Tashkent region, and studied the historical and cultural heritage of the republic.
At the residence of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Indonesia, Siti Ruhaini Juhayatin, a cultural and educational event was held with the participation of representatives of public organizations, heads of scientific and educational institutions, and Indonesian and Uzbek artists. Rectors of specialized universities emphasized the importance of expanding mutually beneficial partnerships in all areas.

Tourism in the Spotlight

Special attention was paid to the development of the tourism industry. Participants noted the growing interest of Indonesian tourists in Uzbekistan's historical cities and holy sites. The parties discussed the need to improve tourism infrastructure and create conditions for welcoming guests.
The program concluded with a concert and a tasting of Indonesian cuisine. The visit demonstrates the readiness of both countries to deepen cooperation in the cultural, educational, and economic spheres.
