Rustam Sagdullaev Receives Award at Film Festival in Pskov
Actor and director, Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rustam Sagdullaev received the honorary "Life in Cinema" award at the VII International Film Festival "Western Gates" in Pskov, Russia. The award was presented to the acclaimed actor for his long-standing contribution to cinema by the festival's general producer Eduard Pichugin and jury chairman, director Alexei German.
During the ceremony, footage from Leonid Bykov's film "Only Old Men Go to Battle" (1973) was shown on screen, in which Sagdullayev played the role of Romeo. The audience greeted the actor's appearance with a standing ovation.
In addition to receiving the award, Sagdullayev participated in the festival as a member of the international competition jury.
Just recently, on July 25, the actor celebrated his 76th birthday.
