World's Highest Mural Appears in Kyrgyzstan at an Altitude of 3,600 Metres
The art group BASICOLORS created the mural KYZ POWER at an altitude of 3,600 meters in the Achyk-Tash gorge at the foot of Lenin Peak. The project symbolizes the strength and independence of Central Asian women, according to Kultura (AKIpress).
The mural's author is artist Viktor Tsoy. According to him, the work is dedicated to girls who choose their own path in science, art, business and sports, despite the obstacles they face.
KYZ POWER is a street art project about the strength of girls - about those who go into the mountains, into science, into art, into business, despite any barriers and difficulties.
The art group stated that the mural is one of the highest-altitude in the world. Most mountain murals globally are created at altitudes of up to 2,500 meters, while this one is located 1,100 meters higher.
The project is relevant in the context of growing interest in art initiatives across Central Asia that combine the region's cultural traditions with contemporary forms of expression.
