Turkmen artist showcases the beauty of the Caspian Sea in his paintings
Turkmen artist Ovezmuhammet Mammednurov has created a series of canvases dedicated to the Caspian Sea, ranging from an early work of 1993 to a 2023 painting featuring the figure of his grandson.

People's Artist of Turkmenistan Ovezmuhammet Mammetnurov turns to the diverse nature of the Caspian Sea in his work. The master paints exclusively from life, striving to capture every moment of light and colour, as reported by Arzuw.news, citing the publication "Neutral Turkmenistan".
One of his early landmark works is the painting "The Caspian Sea", created in 1993. Its main focus is the silhouette of a ship. In 2013, the artist presented the canvas "Waves of the Caspian", dedicated to the sea element. It features neither ships nor people. That same year, the painting "White Sails" appeared, where the vertical composition and mirror-like reflection evoke a sense of tranquillity. In 2015, the artist painted "Storm on the Caspian". The menacing waves on the canvas interweave blue, indigo, violet, pink and yellow hues. One of his most recent works, created in 2023, is titled "Among the Waves of the Caspian". In it, the master included the figure of his grandson, confidently riding the waves.
The artist also paints on other subjects. At present, he continues to work on his pictorial canvases. This year, he added the painting "The Sun in the Evening" to his collection of works.
