Uzbekistan and the US sign a memorandum on violin craftsmanship
The Academic Creative Association of Violinists of Uzbekistan and the Chicago School of Violin Making have signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document provides for the exchange of experience in the making and restoration of stringed instruments, as well as the development of professional partnership in this field, the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan reports.

A delegation of Uzbek musicians is on a creative trip to the US. The first meetings took place at DePaul University's music school in Chicago, where the parties discussed prospects for long-term cooperation in music education and the performing arts.
The talks explored the possibility of organising an exchange of experience between young musicians, holding joint masterclasses and professional development. The prospects for implementing educational programmes in violin craftsmanship were also discussed.
The memorandum was signed with the support of the State Assets Management Agency, and with the participation of Tamila Salimzhanova, an Uzbek concert pianist and Doctor of Musical Arts, and violinist Askar Salimzhanov. Both musicians work at Northwestern University and are laureates of international competitions.
This collaboration creates opportunities for young Uzbek musicians to gain international experience, improve their professional skills and strengthen ties with foreign music institutions.
