An exhibition of Uzbek photographer has opened at UNESCO headquarters

The exhibition is organized by the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan.

The exhibition features 34 unique works by Khudoybergen Devanov — the first professional photographer and cinematographer from Central Asia. His photos, taken at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries, have preserved for the world the true image of Khorezm of that era — the architecture, traditions, and daily life of the region.

This is the first demonstration of Devonov's legacy at such a large-scale international platform as UNESCO. His works hold a special place in the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, opening viewers to the history of Central Asia through the prism of photography art.
