This week’s guide
September in Tashkent is when a single week accommodates an open-air ballet, a play about repression, and a didgeridoo in a gallery. Ilkhom opens its season with two premieres at once — one about Bukhara and one about Molière. Mazza Fest turns the park into three days of music and food. And Qo'rqma — a sound drama about those killed for the crime of learning — runs all month. Well then, shall we go?
