Zhubaov's Great-Grandchildren to Perform Works by the Founder of Kazakh Symphony Music
An evening dedicated to the work of Akhmet Zhubanov will take place on 28 October, featuring his great-grandchildren, musicians and a conductor, who will present a new album of his works and share family stories, astanaballet.com reports.

The concert will feature four great-grandchildren of the composer: Zhangir Zhubanov, Karina Izmailova, Inkara Zhubanova and Tomiris Ali. They will perform works by the founder of Kazakh symphonic music, maintaining a living connection between generations through his legacy.
The evening is moderated by Elmar Buribayev - conductor of the Astana Ballet theatre and also a great-grandson of Akhmet Zhubanov. In addition to musical numbers, the artists will share with the audience personal memories and stories about the composer's creative path, heard within the family circle.
At the concert a presentation of a new music disc will take place, entirely dedicated to Zhubanov's works. Thus, the evening will become not only a performance event, but also a documentation of the composer's musical heritage in its historical and family perspective.
