The evening will be led by poet Bakh Akhmedov, a member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan and the literary collective Litera. He will speak about the differences between hokku and haiku and present both his own and translated works.
The programme will also feature poet Olesya Tsai, poet and musician Farkhad Yunusov, and poet Kashmira Iskandari.
The event is structured in three parts, alternating between poetry readings and musical performances. The organisers promise to demonstrate how “an entire world can fit into a small form”.
The event will take place at Human House Gallery.
Start time: 19:00. Admission is free with prior registration.
