The project will span 9 hectares and bring together more than 6,000 exhibits, including archaeological finds as well as works of fine and applied art. The museum complex will feature exhibition spaces, a 160-seat hall, a children’s academy, a research centre, and storage facilities.
The project forms part of a broader cultural transformation plan aimed at modernising 839 cultural centres across the country by 2030, with investments exceeding 1 trillion soums. The reform focuses on renewing cultural content, attracting private investment, and developing programmes tailored to younger audiences.
