Alyona Timofeyeva

Author of the blog "Cultural Remote Work" about the history and art of Kazakhstan. Specializing in contemporary Kazakhstani theater and literature, she has authored over 300 articles in this field. She has worked in independent media in Kazakhstan for over five years and maintains a regular theater column for Orda.kz. Her works have been published in the magazines "Articulation," "Polutona," "Friendship of Peoples," "Daktil," and others. She is involved in educational activities and runs the Lustra art club. She is the curator of the only writers' residency in Central Asia, Almaty Writing Residency. Shortlisted for the Qalamdas Literary Prize (2022) in the "Literary Criticism" category "Theater Observer of the Year 2023" Shortlisted for the Steppe Awards in the "Smart Influence" category (2025)
